Honorable future delegates of the Union of Mediterranean, as your President and instructor for the Union of Mediterranean, I would like to cordially welcome you to the 3rd RhodesMRC.My name is Rafaella Tsertsides and I was born in the city of Thessaloniki which is located in the northern region of Greece. At the moment I am studying in the Faculty of Law at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki and I am highly interested in International law and in International relations. I have been attending many intriguing events since my high-school years, when I first loved the art of debating and negotiating. My first involvement was during my participations in Greek, English and German debate, when I realised that these procedures were only the beginning of my attending many seminars later related to my law studies and to my scientific orientation.
I consider the idea of being the President of the Union of Mediterranean as one of the most significant responsibilities I have ever undertaken as I am very pleased to be part of the Rhodes MRC crew. This is exactly the reason why I want to welcome you in this initiative. I am confident that Rhodes MRC 2012 will be an unforgettable experience for you and I expect that with your added enthusiasm we will achieve a high level of debate and negotiations. I am more than sure that I can rely on your preparedness and consistency concerning your obligations and responsibilities before and during the conference and especially as far as the deadlines you are highly requested to meet.
