Agenda

Last year's participants asked for a more challenging agenda. So RhodesMRC 2011 offers a significally increased gravity to its agenda: from migration to energy and from human rights to organized crime, our topics are real, interesting, and challenging at the same time! On top of all, the Crisis Simulation for the Union for the Mediterranean, where the "leaders" of the 43 countries will have to cope with a semi-real/semi-scripted crisis that will put UfM under the microscope of the world.
  • Union for the Mediterranean
    • Making cultural diversity visible in the urban space: empowering individuals with migrant background as agents for intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Med societies
    • The current political situation in the Mediterranean (crisis)
  • Black Sea Economic Co-operation
    • Organized Crime counter measures: regional mechanisms to combat money laundering and trafficking of illicit funds
    • Hydrocarbon Resources exploitation in the Black Sea region: countermeasures and sustainable development
  • Council of Europe
    • The linguistic minorities in the framework of intercultural education
    • The right of Roma women to health
Caution: there might be minor adjustments to the topic titles. Last update: 25/04/2011.
