Since 1950, close to the very end of World War II, as the dream of financial integration of Europe began to be a reality, along with the political actions, the first "Houses of Europe" were created, as a movement of citizens from countries that just started integrating financially. The House of Europe in Rhodes is a non governmental, non-profit organization founded with the purpose of spreading the european ideals and the communication among peoples of Europe, in order to facilitate european integration and create a network of dialogue towards the goal inside Europe and with the rest of the world. The House of Europe in Rhodes was founded on December 30th, 1999 and, today, it counts 200 members. Find out more at www.houseofeurope-rhodes.eu.
