Since 1950, close to the very end of World War II, as the dream of financial integration of Europe began to be a reality, along with the political actions, the first "Houses of Europe" were created, as a movement of citizens from countries that just started integrating financially.
The House of Europe in Rhodes is a non governmental, non-profit organization founded with the purpose of spreading the european ideals and the communication among peoples of Europe, in order to facilitate european integration and create a network of dialogue towards the goal inside Europe and with the rest of the world.
